History

October 16, 1846 William Thomas Green Morton held the first public demonstration of ether anesthesia. In Russia, ether anesthesia was first used 7 February, 1847 FI Inozemtsev and 14 February, Russian scientist and physician, Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov first applied it for pain relief during surgery.

   October 16, 1846 in Boston Clinic (USA), William Morton held the first in the world of anesthesia. An anesthetic was used diethyl ether. The first operation carried out under anesthesia, was podchelyustnoy tumor removal.

   In 1847 the Scottish obstetrician J. Simpson first used chloroform for anesthesia during the birth admission.

   At the end of XX century for the anesthesia began to use xenon.
